Links to Free Knitting Patterns The Internet is such a fabulous resource for knitters and crafters of all kinds. No longer are we limited to the limited offerings of our local yarn shop, or the closest national chain store. Now those of us with a fetish for fibres have access to online yarn shops from around the globe. Some knitting enthusiasts publish their own personal web sites that chronicle their projects in process, acquisitions of new yarn and they even share patterns that they have designed. Here is a collection of links to other knitter's personal web sites, forums where you can meet and converse with other knitters from all over the world, and other online knitting resources. I hesitate to link to stores unless I have shopped there or know someone who has shopped their and is a satisfied customer. Free Knitting PatternsOK, I just *love* this web site! It was one of the first knitting istes that I found and used back in 1996 when I first discovered that there was stuff about knitting on the Internet. This is an amazingly thorough list of knitting links. Very cool, and clear instructions. Vogue Knitting Knitter's Magazine I used to subscribe to this newsletter, and I've saved all of my back issues. Great resource. I found a really cool web page that shows you how to knit small circumfrences on one long circular needle. It's called the "Magic Loop", and it's kind of funky. I can't wait to try it. |
